Our Process

At TFP we use a unique and proprietary wet-laid manufacturing process to manufacture our nonwovens.

Production is based around two speciality forming machines which were derived from technology developed by James Cropper plc. These advanced production techniques enable the transformation of synthetic or mineral fibres into veils and mats in such a manner that the key performance characteristics of the fibres are transferred into the finished product.

Unique Process, Unique Level of Flexibility

A key competitive advantage of our nonwovens is the degree of customisation possible. This ability to adapt or develop materials for our customers underpins our ethos of collaboration, and is facilitated by the unique level of flexibility provided by the production process.

Materials can be manufactured from an extensive range of short-chopped fibres, binders and, when necessary to impart additional functionality, particulates or fillers can be incorporated as well. The process enables production of material up to width of 1650 mm, with areal weights from 2 g/m² up to 3000 g/m² possible.

TFP also produce metal plated fibres, click here to find out about our process and capability.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss our process and capability further, please contact us with your requirements.
