AEROSPACE MATERIALS
TFP has been supplying the aerospace industry for over 30 years and is accredited to AS9100, giving our customers the reassurance that quality is paramount. Our materials are used extensively in both primary and secondary composite aero-structures and as a result, are present on the majority of commercial aircraft in operation today.
Our lightweight OPTIVEIL® & OPTIMAT® materials are used in a variety of ways in aero-structures and often fulfil more than one function. Typical uses include acting as a carrier substrate for adhesives or fragile materials, providing a superior surface finish, imparting functionality such as EMI shielding and electrical conductivity, as well as enhancing fracture toughness or resin flow. More details on these applications can be found in the links below.
We also recognise that aerospace applications often require specialised materials or properties, so in many cases a ‘standard’ material won’t suffice. As a result we have an experienced Technology Team and extensive development facilities, including a high tech laboratory and large scale pilot line, to enable effective material design and smooth scale up from concept to larger scale production.
