TFP is committed to creating a cleaner, greener future. As a key part of our vision, we are aiming for the majority of our company’s sales to come from applications that support the Global drive to ‘Net Zero’ carbon emissions, within the next 5 years.

Together with TFP Hydrogen Products, our materials and products have helped our customers develop the technology that will deliver a sustainable future, from reducing the cost of hydrogen generation to providing solutions in applications such as renewable energy, mobility, carbon capture and more.

Green Energy Technologies

We are proud to have been supporting the development of green energy technologies for over 30 years. Our performance nonwovens and products are used in a variety of alternative energy applications, ranging from carbon capture to water electrolysers for Green Hydrogen production.

Carbon Capture

TFP is working with some of the leading carbon capture companies around the world to develop proprietary functional veils for the industry. Our technical commitment to carbon capture has led to cutting edge development and comprehensive understanding of the necessary characteristics to achieve a high-performance substrate for solid sorbent carbon capture technology.

Fuel Cells

TFP has been developing and optimising material for fuel cell GDLs since 1988, working alongside some of the leading companies in the industry.  This long-term    commitment to fuel cell development and growth has facilitated a comprehensive understanding of the necessary material characteristics to achieve a high performance GDL substrate.

Water Electrolysers

Green hydrogen is widely accepted as a critical part of advancing the energy transition. However, for it to become a reality the technology used to generate it, such as PEM Electrolysers, must demonstrate both performance and affordability. TFP Hydrogen’s performance coatings play an important role in enabling this; they enhance the performance, efficiency and durability of PEM electrolysers to effectively reduce the lifetime cost of green hydrogen production.

Wind Energy

The use of TFP’s nonwovens is well established in wind turbines, with applications ranging from the surface finish of blades to improving the interlaminar toughness and providing EMI shielding to nacelles.

Green Mobility

The mobility industry is currently one of the leading producers of harmful emissions worldwide. Our materials are making a difference, in more ways than one…

Aerospace

Lightweighting refers to a move away from traditional materials to eliminate unnecessary weight and achieve better fuel efficiency, ultimately reducing harmful emissions and supporting the drive to net zero.

We deliver specially designed lightweight nonwovens, from just 2gsm, to meet composite performance, compatibility, and aesthetic requirements, supporting and facilitating the drive for reduced emissions, without compromising on material strength or performance.

Automotive (EV)

The latest application for our nonwovens in automotive is in Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) where they can facilitate the move from the use of metal to composite in battery enclosures, this is necessary to achieve the larger, protective structures required whilst still ensuring they are lightweight.
